On August 8, 2022, Sevilla FC announced the bomb signing of Isco Alarcón. This Wednesday, December 21, just over four months later, the Spanish club officially terminated the contract.
According to the institution itself, they reached an agreement with the former Real Madrid player to end the relationship that tied the footballer to the Seville team since mid-year.
Despite arriving at Nervión with an initial two-season contract, the Seville club and the player from Malaga "have agreed to terminate the contract that united both parties," according to a statement published on Sevilla's website.
Since his arrival at the Sánchez Pizjuán, Isco has played 19 games in all competitions (12 LaLiga Santander matches, six Champions League matches, and one Copa del Rey match) and scored a goal against Copenhagen in the Champions League and provided three assists.
Sevilla ended a short statement by wishing Isco Alarcón "the best of luck in his new professional challenges," and the player becomes a free agent to search for a new team.
Prior to the resumption of the Spanish championship, Sevilla is currently in 18th place, in relegation positions, having won only two of the first 14 games. This Wednesday they face Juventud Torremolinos in the Copa del Rey (20:00 GMT), a team from the 2nd RFEF, the fourth tier of Spanish football. (AFP)
