French striker Karim Benzema equals Raúl González Blanco as the second top scorer in Real Madrid's history, reaching 323 goals with the team's jersey.
The French forward of Real Madrid, Karim Benzema, scored his 323rd goal with the white shirt, equaling Raúl González Blanco as the club's second top scorer.
Benzema scored the second goal for his team in the match of LaLiga Santander's 36th round, which Real Madrid won 6-0.
Benzema headed a cross from the left by Vinicius (19) to score the goal that adds to his legend at the club.
"We are talking about two Real Madrid legends", said Emilio Butragueño, the club's Institutional Relations director, to Movistar+.
"There is no discussion about what Karim represents for us. Today he is the best player in the world, it's a privilege to have him here and enjoy his game," added Butragueño, stating that "today he has once again given an exhibition".
Benzema only trails Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo and his 451 goals, who tops the list of Real Madrid's highest scorers.
Benzema took another step forward after leaving behind other historic goal scorers such as the legend Alfredo Di Stéfano (308 goals), Santillana (290), or Puskas (242). AFP
