Kristijan Jakic, Croatian player of Eintracht Frankfurt, revealed that before the match against Barcelona for the quarterfinals of the Europa League, he had a conversation with his compatriot Luka Modric who made him promise to eliminate the Blaugrana team.
In an interview with 'Sportske Novosti', Jakic said that at one point in the conversation, Modric asked him, "You have to beat Barcelona!" The response didn't take long: "Captain, I promise we will win!". I fulfilled my promise. When you promise something, you have to fulfill it, right? That's why Luka sent me the message 'promise fulfilled'."
"At the moment the match ended, I immediately thought of you. Thank you very much, captain," added the Croatian's national team player.
