The historic captain of the Peruvian National Team took a flight to Ecuador after playing the last double round of the 2026 South American Qualifiers. Upon his arrival, he will be under the command of Santiago Jácome at Liga de Quito.

Peru's Schedule in the Qualifiers
After the defeat against Argentina, the Peruvian National Team will play again next month when they visit Bolivia for the 5th round of the 2026 South American Qualifiers. This match is scheduled for Thursday, November 16th at 3:00 p.m., it will be played at Hernando Siles Stadium and will be broadcasted throughout Peru by ATV, América TV, and Movistar Deportes.
After that, they will have a key match -at Estadio Nacional in Lima- against a Venezuelan outfit that comes in great form due to their strong start in the tournament, where they not only drew (as visitors) against Brazil but also defeated Chile, putting themselves among the top positions in the standings.
