The forward of the Peruvian National Team talked about the possible date of his debut with the White House team, a squad he will defend until the end of 2023.

For the June friendlies, Paolo Guerrero once again wore the Peruvian National Team jersey: Juan Reynoso called him up for the friendly matches against South Korea and Japan. As the weeks went by, and in the midst of all those incidents with the national team, it was confirmed that the relationship between the 'Predator' and Racing Club of Argentina had come to an end. So, there were several questions about his future and that's when the opportunity at LDU Quito arrived, the club with which he signed until the end of this year.

After completing his first training sessions, the 'Predator' confirmed that he arrives in a good moment to the Casa Blanca team, after his time at Racing Club de Avellaneda, a team from which he decided to separate in order to seek playing time (he was only there for six months).

Depending on his work and the trust that his new coach, Luis Zubeldía, gives him, Paolo Guerrero could make his debut at LDU Quito next Thursday, August 3, when they visit Ñublense in the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana round of 16. This match will take place at the Bicentenario Municipal Nelson Oyarzún stadium and will start at 7:00 p.m. (Peruvian and Ecuadorian time).

"On Wednesday we will decide if I will play in Thursday's match. From now on, we have to focus on the next week, because what's coming are finals and what we want is to advance to the next round," said the player of the Ecuadorian national team in an interview with GOLTV.

Oblitas happy with Guerrero's arrival at LDU

Juan Carlos Oblitas is an authoritative voice to talk about Paolo Guerrero's arrival at LDU Quito. In 2005, the current general football director of the Peruvian Football Federation was the coach of the northern team and won the national championship (he was there between 2004 and 2006). For this reason, he spoke about what the 'Predator' is experiencing at Casa Blanca: the forward of the Peruvian National Team signed with the northern club until the end of 2023.

"I am very happy that Paolo Guerrero is joining a great club like LDU Quito. I am sure he will do very well in this new stage. He will have to adapt to the altitude, but he will not be in a better place in Ecuador," said the national executive to the media.
