This week, the Peruvian National Team faces a new challenge in the qualifying stages for the 2026 World Cup in Canada, United States, and Mexico, with scheduled matches against Chile (in Santiago) and Argentina (in Lima) on Thursday, October 12th and Tuesday, October 17th, respectively. The final list of players called up by Juan Reynoso for these matches is still expected to be announced, considering that on October 2nd he presented his preliminary roster of players from the Liga 1 Betsson. Additionally, some players who play abroad have already arrived in the capital and it is expected that in the next few hours, after the publication of the final list, the remaining players will arrive.
Regarding the list announced last week, Reynoso will have to choose some players and leave others out of the final list, which will be made public on Monday, October 9th at 5:40 in the afternoon. As we previously reported, this day is scheduled for the announcement of the official list of the national team, which will face the 'Roja' and 'Albiceleste' in this double date. For now, the coach is waiting for the arrival of the other players who are abroad and is conducting training sessions with those who are already in Lima.
