Aucas defeated Orense 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at Gonzalo Pozo Ripalda stadium for matchday 10 of phase 2 of LigaPro Serie A. The eastern team started behind on the scoreboard, but then with high individual and collective performances they turned it around to take the victory.
Bryan Rodríguez (18 min) scored with a shot from outside the box that beat the resistance of goalkeeper Damián Frascarelli. The Ecuadorian forward scores his fifth goal of the season.
Maximiliano Barreiro (41 min) took advantage of a deflection from a teammate in a corner kick to equalize. The Argentine striker achieved his seventh goal in the tournament and celebrated by pointing towards the sky, as a dedication to Diego Armando Maradona.
In the second half, Jhon Espinoza dribbled down the right flank and crossed for Víctor Figueroa (54 min) to score the second goal for the home team. The Argentine striker reached 12 goals and rises to third position in the LigaPro's top scorers table.
Ecuadorian Alejandro Cabeza scored a brace (76 min) (90+4 min). In the first one, he received an assist that put him face-to-face with the opposing goalkeeper and scored the third goal. At the end of the match, when the Machaleño team was devoted to attack, Cabezas scored the fourth goal and sealed the victory for his team.
With this result, Aucas rises to fifth position with 14 points and will visit Macará in the next round. Meanwhile, Orense drops to ninth place with 13 points and in the following match, they will host Delfín. (D)
