Cuenca -
Deportivo Cuenca rallied against Delfin to secure a 2-1 victory that lifted them off the bottom of the table. Guillermo Duro's team is rising in the tournament and motivation is growing to avoid relegation.
Jhon Jairo Cifuente opened the scoring for the cetaceans in the 70th minute. Towards the end, the reds reacted to secure the victory with goals from Luis Arce (84th minute) and Diego Dorregaray (85th minute), earning their fourth win of the season and moving out of the relegation zone.
"We had a talk at halftime to generate more character, we needed to change our attitude and not be slow with the ball. The team will never give up," said coach Guillermo Duro, who despite the team's improvement remains controversial among the Cuenca fans.

"Beyond the questions about the tactics and others, I focus on the team's attitude. Today the team gave everything they had to win, and they did. We don't wait to be hit to go out and search for victory, the second half was different and we went out to win. The team, all 10 points, has attitude and moves forward," expressed the Argentine.
In the accumulated table, Cuenca jumped to thirteenth place with 19 points, while in the second stage they are in fifth place with 11 points.
The next destination for the 'morlacos' will be Guayaquil in the seventh round, visiting Barcelona. (D)
