With a "labor judge's" resolution that "orders the registration of the directory of the Sports Federation of Guayas," Roberto Ibáñez Romero was scheduled to take office on Friday as president of the Sports Federation of Guayas (FDG), in the context of a legal dispute over the case.
This was announced at noon by the PR team of the former Deputy Minister of Sport, supported by Otto Coello, Ibáñez's lawyer.
The attorney explained, also on Friday, about a notification: "This new judge is analyzing the entire process and how the active legitimized parties tried to confuse and hinder the process" of Ibáñez's inauguration in the Fedeguayas.

Through a text message, Coello explained that the labor judge (whose name is not specified) verified two points in favor of the 35-year-old leader. The second one, decisive: "That a board of directors has already been elected and that they proceed to register in accordance with the law, so that their authorities can exercise their functions."
Providence of June
Coello stated earlier that Judge Alberto Ollague "went beyond his authority" by issuing a ruling on June 22 calling for a new general assembly to form the Fedeguayas directory.
Ibáñez's lawyer added that it was not within Ollague's functions to issue this type of ruling because there was an executed resolution, he "could not rule" on the annulment of the assembly, and the ruling would be appealed.
According to the former Deputy Minister's press team on the social media platform Twitter, Ibáñez's provincial management "will take place between 2020 and 2024"; he is also the president of the Ecuadorian Judo Federation. (D)
