Quito -
After being removed from the presidency of the Ecuadorian Football Federation, Francisco Egas requested on Monday a certification of the registration of his board with the Ministry of Sports, as well as other details related to the actions taken by the board last Friday.
Andrea Sotomayor, Secretary of Sports, stated today that "the only registered board" in her department is the one presided over by Francisco Egas, who in a letter sent on Monday made "three specific requests" to this administration.
"One that certifies who is the president listed in the registered board at the Ministry. Another, to certify if the Federation's statute includes the figure of board reorganization. And another, to certify what is the procedure established in the statute of the Ecuadorian Football Federation to judge the behavior of the President," Sotomayor commented.
These requests "have already been forwarded to the legal department of the Ministry so that we can respond," said the secretary.

Sotomayor clarified that this request is the only one coming from any instance of the Ecuadorian Football Federation, she also said that no documentation has been received from the board appointed by Jaime Estrada.
"If Jaime Estrada believes he has the right (to assume the presidency of the FEF), he should submit a request to the Ministry regarding what concerns us, which is the registration of the board, and once the analysis is done, respond positively or negatively to the request," a requirement that would take about 15 days due to bureaucratic procedures in the department.
