Condolence messages from South American soccer institutions for the deaths of several Barcelona Sporting Club fans have been spread through the social media platform Twitter.
Among the institutions related to the region's soccer, the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) has expressed its condolences.

Sporting Cristal, the team that faced Barcelona in the Copa Libertadores de América (Barcelona won 5-2 overall), also expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased victims and the injured, which according to the Peruvian National Police, amount to 6 and 37, respectively. Initially, it was reported that the death toll was 8.

The road accident occurred early on Saturday, February 15, in an area near Máncora, Peru, while the bus was heading towards the border between Ecuador and Peru.
