About Leonardo Ramos' Resignation
The assertions made by Leonardo Ramos, former coach of Barcelona, in the past days about his resignation for having "seen strange things" and talking about alleged sports betting, continue to cause reactions within the Canary Islands.
Now, winger Marcos Caicedo, who did not have the opportunity to play with the Uruguayan in the last matches, described his former coach's statements as 'regrettable'.
"It is something regrettable, something that as a player one does not understand. He (Ramos) should have said here who is or who is not involved, he knows why he said it or does it. Let's hope that everything he said is not true," said Caicedo yesterday, after Barcelona's practice.
Caicedo denied that there were any problems in the locker room following the 3-0 defeat against Delfin in Manta, in the semifinals of the Copa Ecuador.
"Nothing was said in the locker room, all the players deserve to be here. It always happens (the criticism); when we lose matches, we are the worst, and when we win, they don't say that we are the best. It shouldn't be like that, they should support us," Caicedo concluded. (D)
