The Peruvian national team lost to Argentina in the 4th round of the Qualifiers for the 2026 North America World Cup, at the National Stadium in Lima. In that sense, as it is obvious, many Argentinians showed their emotion on social media, although Boca Juniors fans expressed their sadness for Luis Advíncula.

As we know, Luis Advíncula is highly beloved at Boca because he is one of their top scorers and has also been key in several 'Xeneize' matches. That is why, despite the victory of his national team, many Argentinians mentioned the Peruvian defender and made him trend on social media.

"I'm like this because Luis Advíncula is suffering," said a fan posting a video of the 'Rayo' sad with the Bicolor shirt. Other users claimed that they could not fully celebrate because they couldn't stand to see both of Argentina's goals coming from the Peruvian's side.

On the other hand, there were fans who took it in the more comedic way and complained about seeing Luis Advíncula wearing the River Plate shirt, this due to the enormous resemblance between the Peruvian national team's kit and that of the Millonario, as both have a stripe on the chest.

Luis Advíncula will play the Copa Libertadores final.

Boca Juniors will face Fluminense in the Copa Libertadores final on November 4, with Luis Advíncula present and possibly starting. The match will take place at the Maracaná Stadium.
