The Former football player of the Peruvian National Team, Claudio Pizarro, pronounces on the criticisms to the "bicolor" coach, Juan Máximo Reynoso, for Peru's poor start in the Qualifiers, where they have only been able to accumulate 1 point out of 9 possible, zero goals scored, and 3 goals against.
In statements to ATV, the "Bombardero de Los Andes" pointed out that it is still too early to assess the work that Reynoso is doing with the national team, and he also indicated that, whatever happens, we must always support the national team.
"They also demanded to remove Ricardo Gareca when he was losing just like now, I don't remember, in the end, we almost reached the World Cup. We'll see what happens now. I think it's too early to make an assessment. We as Peruvians must support the team, no matter how it is," he said.
ABOUT THE MATCH AGAINST ARGENTINA
Regarding tomorrow's match against the world champion, Argentina, Pizarro acknowledged that it will be very difficult to defeat Lionel Scaloni's team, however, he assured that we have the squad to make the home advantage count.
"It will be tough, but we are at home. We have to go out and win, whoever comes. I think we have a team to compete on equal terms. Obviously, we have to be careful with some of their players because they are important, but we have to try to win the match," he said.
