Gerónimo Rivera's new contract with Banfield elevates his release clause
In Banfield, the great emergence in this 2023 has been that of Gerónimo Rivera, a 20-year-old left winger who barely made his debut last June and who is already breaking it in the Professional League Cup. For that reason, the player born in Argentina but with Chilean roots, signed a new contract in which his release clause was raised.

"Renewal of Gerónimo Rivera. The player emerged from the Banfield academy renewed his contract until 12/31/2027. Banfield raised the release clause to 20,000,000 dollars", the club itself reported through its communication channels.
Just like Oliver Sonne in Peru, Rivera has Chilean blood on his grandmother's side, but on his father's side, which is why he could play in the near future for the Chilean national team, since he has not yet had the opportunity to play an official match with the 'Albiceleste'.
Although it is worth noting that it is still unknown if there is any official contact between 'La Roja' and the young promise from Banfield, however, the press in the aforementioned country is already well aware of the forward and hope that he can join the team led by Eduardo Berizzo soon.
The numbers of Rivera with Banfield
Since his debut, the skillful Argentine-Chilean player has played in 16 matches with Banfield (321 minutes on the field), scoring 1 goal and providing 1 assist.
