Padel is a sport that has many followers in our country, that is why Peru Padel Center, the club of the discipline with the most headquarters currently in the country and soon to continue with its expansion, held on Wednesday, September 20th, the press conference for the presentation of the 1st Padel Center Cup that is already taking place at the Padel Center Villa headquarters.
The conference was attended by Eduardo Gamio Escribens and Diego Hanza Delgado (photo), founding partners of Padel Center; Kevin Martínez (photo), Pan American fronton champion in Lima 2019 and padel player, as well as Anthony Castro, Luciano Di Bene, and Matías Altieri, certified Argentine instructors positioned in the world padel ranking. The Padel Center Cup started on September 21st and will end on September 24th, and already has the participation of more than 160 local and international players from countries such as Argentina, Spain, Chile, and Brazil, ensuring a good competition among the different categories that will play on the four installed courts at the new Padel Center Villa headquarters.
"Our 1st Padel Center Cup Championship is an event that invites not only athletes of all ages, but also seeks to bring together families and friends to have a different experience, watching an innovative sport with exponential growth worldwide. In addition to seeing five categories or levels of play and having participants from different nations, we offer a pleasant and spacious 5,500 square meter venue that has been completely renovated, with many activations and music that will set the stage for a great show," highlighted Eduardo Gamio.
Participants can check the game schedules, brackets, and follow the results in real time from the "Padel Manager" app.
"Padel is a sport that is growing worldwide and in Peru, it is already taking off. It is a discipline in which I seek to stand out, just like in fronton, so I welcome initiatives like those of Padel Center in organizing a tournament that will be very competitive," added gold medalist in Lima 2019, Kevin Martínez.
Admission during the four days is free for the general public and they will be able to find food trucks, DJs, grill areas, brand fairs, games for children, raffles, and more.
