Argentina returns to peace after confirming the continuity of Lionel Scaloni as coach

After a few days of uncertainty, peace returns to Argentina after the continuity of coach Lionel Scaloni was announced. The World Cup-winning coach received the full confidence of the president of the AFA, and after resolving some details, the contract was signed, which will last until the 2026 World Cup to be held in Mexico, United States, and Canada.

With the coach confirmed, Argentina has already secured an opponent for the March FIFA international break. According to AFA president Claudio Tapia, the Albiceleste will play two friendly matches. One could be at the Mario Alberto Kempes stadium in Córdoba, and the other at the Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires.

The first confirmed opponent is Curacao, ranked 86 in the FIFA Ranking, and the second is Panama, ranked 61. Although these opponents are not very demanding, the main objective is to celebrate the World Cup achieved in Qatar 2022 in front of the home crowd.
