The Polish forward did not have a remarkable performance against Argentina; however, he delivered a unique message after the defeat in the 2022 World Cup Group C.
Robert Lewandowski, captain of the Polish national team, referred to the defeat against Argentina and emphasized that it was "sweet" because they still managed to advance to the next round of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
"Playing against France is a great challenge, because they are a very good team with top players. They are the current champions and for us, it will be a challenge, but we have to enjoy it, fight and do our best," began Lewandowski.
About the clash against Lionel Messi's Argentina, he emphasized: "It was a sweet defeat. We knew it would be difficult and that we would have to work hard from the beginning (...) They have great players, but we are happy to be able to play in the knockout stage."
"France is a team of a similar level to Argentina, even superior. I am convinced that if we analyze not only the defensive game, but especially the actions with the ball, we can play much better against them," concluded the Polish star.
