This Saturday, Poland defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0 with goals from Zielinski and Lewandowski, putting them temporarily at the top of Group C in the Qatar 2022 World Cup. However, coach Czesław Michniewicz stated that, despite this victory, nothing is decided.
"Four points don't solve anything, the group is open, but I am happy that we scored two goals. We could have had more, the opponent also had their chances, as happens in every game," Czesław Michniewicz told the press after the match.
Furthermore, the coach of the Polish team added: "The saved penalty and the first goal put us in the right mindset. There was power in this team. I am very happy that we managed to win because it is a completely deserved victory."
As a reminder, Poland is the leader of Group C with four points, followed by Saudi Arabia with three, Mexico with one, and Argentina still without any points. The next match for the Polish team will be against Argentina on Wednesday, November 30th at 2:00 pm.
