Peruvian players Luis Advíncula and Carlos Zambrano witnessed the serious incidents that caused the suspension of the match between Gimnasia y Esgrima and Boca Juniors, for the Professional League-2022, on Thursday. The tragic outcome was a fan's death due to cardiorespiratory arrest.
The match was suspended 9 minutes into the first half due to serious disturbances outside the stadium that affected the progress of the match being played at the Carmelo Zerillo stadium in La Plata, about 50 kilometers south of Buenos Aires.
