That is why on Thursday, September 15, the Albiceleste presented the list of 28 called-up players, among whom stand out Thiago Almada, Facundo Medina, and Nehuen Pérez, young players who already know what it is like to defend the Argentina shirt in the Pre-Olympic tournament held in Colombia 2020 and who will seek to earn a spot for Qatar 2022.

Scaloni also called up Gonzalo Montiel, Nahuel Molina, Germán Pezzella, Facundo Medina, Cristian Romero, Nehuén Pérez, Nicolás Otamendi, Lisandro Martínez, Nicolás Tagliafico, and Marcos Acuña for the defense.
In midfield, they have Leandro Paredes, Guido Rodríguez, Enzo Fernández, Rodrigo De Paul, Alejandro Gómez, Giovani Lo Celso, Alexis Mac Allister, and Ángel Di María, while in the attack, Lionel Scaloni called up Paulo Dybala, Ángel Correa, Lionel Messi, Thiago Almada, Joaquín Correa, Lautaro Martínez, and Julián Álvarez.
