After this latest defeat, the blanquiazules have now gone 25 matches without a win, and this has become a topic of discussion in several countries. For example, Juan Pablo Varsky, a renowned Argentine journalist, highlighted the negative record they have in the Libertadores.

Varsky tweeted about the hard numbers of the team: 25 matches without a win, 21 losses, 12 defeats in 13 matches, only 1 win in the last 31 games, 10 years without victories, last away win in 2010, and a goal difference of -136.

The team led by Carlos Bustos will now have the opportunity to break all of the mentioned records when they face Fortaleza from Brazil in 12 days, away from home, for the third matchday of the 'Gloria Eterna'.

Finally, it is important to mention that in this season, Alianza Lima has played two matches in the Copa Libertadores (against River Plate and Colo Colo), losing 1-0 and 2-1 respectively. Currently, they are at the bottom of Group F.
