Boca Juniors presented their three reinforcements this Friday: Eduardo Salvio, Jan Hurtado and Alexis Mac Allister. The new players, along with president Daniel Angelici and manager Nicolás Burdisso, held a press conference and were astonished by the Boca world. "Coming to this club changed my life. The day before signing the contract, I had to change my phone number. When you go out to eat, people ask for photos, and you're always willing to give love to the people," confessed Mac Allister. Hurtado added, "I also changed my number because it had been leaked. It's a big step to come to this beautiful club. I want to learn from these players."
On the other hand, Eduardo Salvio highlighted that "one already knows the dimension of Boca" and that "in sports, it's clearly a huge step" in his career.
KEY QUOTES FROM THE PRESENTATION
Eduardo Salvio
"I received many messages from my mother, also from my father, in every talk to know when everything was closing, when I was coming. They told me not to think about it anymore. Today I'm happy to be with them, to have them close. It's a huge step that I'm taking."
"I was able to talk to Gustavo (Alfaro), not so much about the tactic but I know where he wants me to play. The way the team plays, these days I'll be joining the game better, his ideas he has with me."
"I'm available for Curitiba. Of course, I want to play. Then the coach decides. You're eager, willing. I had the opportunity to be coached by Jorge Jesús, we won many things together, and I wish him the best at Flamengo. I'm not going to ask for information or anything."
Jan Hurtado
"Joy and pride for my family, I'm very happy to be in this club. They tell me to do what I know how to do. There are celebrations prepared... (for the goals)."
"I had the opportunity to go to Europe but I decided on this beautiful club. I wanted to learn, have more experience, have more minutes in Argentina to help me in my career and my training."
Alexis Mac Allister
"I'm very happy, I'm a fan of this club, everyone knows why I'm here. I come to fight, not to take a walk. I want to play and make history."
"I talked to Alfaro before coming, not only about football and where I would play, it was a nice conversation. I like to play behind the striker, my original position, but I could also play as a second midfielder or on the left. In preseason, I played on the left and as an interior in a 4-3-3 against Atlético Tucumán."
"When I play football, I try to enjoy it. The word pressure doesn't exist in my dictionary."
"There are other difficult situations to handle but I learned from a friend to turn negative things into positive ones. I turn pressure into responsibility. We're working to do well."
