Diego Armando Maradona is considered by many as the Greatest Footballer in History. The Argentine number 10 immortalized his name thanks to the feats and titles he won with Boca Juniors, Barcelona, Napoli, and above all, with the Argentine national team with which he won the 1986 World Cup and the shirt he first wore 41 years ago.

'Pelusa' shared a photo on his social networks showing the young player posing with the white and sky blue shirt accompanied by the number of years that have passed since his debut.

Maradona played his first match with Argentina on February 27, 1997, when they defeated Bulgaria in a friendly played at La Bombonera. At that time, 'El Diez' was 16 years old and the coach who called him up was César Luis Menotti.

In 1976, Diego made his debut with Argentinos Juniors. Later, Menotti did not call him up for the 1978 World Cup; however, the following year he won the Youth World Cup in Japan. In the next decade, Maradona lived his best years with Napoli and with the national team, winning the last World Cup for Argentina in Mexico 1986, which Lionel Messi is now trying to break the title drought.
