Peruvian national team starts training for friendly matches against Germany and Morocco
This afternoon, the local players started the training sessions for the upcoming friendly matches. Carlos Zambrano, one of the leaders of the team, surprised everyone by talking about the future of the 'Blanquirroja'.

Not only did the 'Kaiser' mention that he is getting closer to retirement, but he also expressed his concerns about the future generations and demanded more 'promising' players for the good of Peruvian soccer.
"I know that I am close to retirement, but for now what I want the most is to keep contributing. I am aware that anyone can play, and that leaves me very calm. I have seen many of my teammates evolve in my position," said the defender in a press conference.
"Christian Cueva is the standout player we have. But more players need to come and try to replace us, surely this is our last qualifying campaign. Hopefully, we can participate in more World Cups," he added firmly.
The now Alianza Lima player is one of the leaders on the list presented by coach Juan Reynoso, so he must take on new roles within the group and apply the experience he has gained over the years.
Finally, it is important to mention that Carlos Zambrano made his debut for the Peruvian national team when he was 18 years old and not only was he satisfied with that, but he also impressed everyone by scoring a goal in a friendly match against Costa Rica.
