A few years ago, Diego Pizarro emerged on the radar of Peruvian fans as, like his older brother Claudio, he seemed to be a prospect who would succeed in the Old Continent. In fact, he had the opportunity to go to Europe and train at Bayern Munich. But what happened after that?

The brother of the 'Bombardero de los Andes' made the leap to Europe when he was just 15 years old. Thanks to the work of the former captain of the Peruvian National Team, Diego had the great opportunity to play in the youth teams of Bayern Munich.

However, Diego Pizarro could not make it to the first team and only competed in regional competitions with the German team (Bayern Münich II), so he did not take long to return to Peru and try his luck with local teams.

Before turning 20, the relative of 'Piza' accepted the proposal from Sport Boys and had his first experience in the local competition (causing interest in the national press), but he also did not have the opportunity to stand out and become a figure in the team.

One season later, the younger Pizarro went to CNI de Iquitos and was considered one of the most important players in the competition. Then, he made his leap to Cienciano de Cusco, where he reached his highest level in the 2012-2013 season.

In the following years, he changed teams and joined FCB Melgar (2014) and Juan Aurich (2016), but he was once again considered a substitute and had no choice but to join the Academy Cantolao (2016) when they were in the Second Division. He was crucial in their promotion to the top competition.

In 'Delfín', he played until the end of 2019 and, since then, he joined Comerciantes Unidos in 2020. However, the coronavirus pandemic prevented his career from progressing, and he is currently waiting for a formal proposal, as his intention is to return to the field.
