Undoubtedly, The International (TI) is one of the most important Esports tournaments worldwide. In addition to being a prestigious Dota 2 competition, it also offers incredible prizes to competitors.
On this occasion, the Peruvian team Hokori became the third squad from our country to reach TI 2022, after the qualification of Thunder Awaken and Beastcoast was confirmed.
The team had fallen to Tempest in the Upper Bracket semifinals of the qualifying stage. However, since the tournament is double elimination, the team could still compete from the Lower Bracket, where they ended up eliminating No Runes and Mad Kings to face their executioners once again.
After defeating Tempest 2-0, Hokori surprised Dota 2 fans around the country by defeating an unrecognizable Infamous 3-0, who never managed to find an answer to their opponent.
In this way, the team will travel to Singapore in October to face some of the biggest organizations in the world, such as TSM, Evil Geniuses, and OG.
It should be noted that Hokori has been competing in Dota 2 since early 2020. Since then, the team has won tournaments such as the Claro Gaming Apu League and The Function.
Infamous and Tempest will also travel to Asia with Hokori
The second and third place teams in the tournament will not leave empty-handed. In fact, both will have one more chance to qualify for The International 2022 during the 'Last Chance Qualifier', where they will have to face rivals from around the world for the last two spots.
