The reign of New Day comes to an end
The odd couple of Cesaro and Sheamus put their differences aside and joined forces to snatch the titles from New Day.
The match was mostly dominated by the Europeans, as they managed to keep Big E at bay throughout most of the encounter. Despite a mistake by the Celtic Warrior, who accidentally struck Cesaro, the peculiar team managed to recover.
Xavier Woods prevented his team from falling on two occasions. The first time was when Cesaro applied a sharpshooter, but Woods entered the ring and prevented the referee from seeing Kofi's submission. Later, when Sheamus launched himself with a Brogue Kick on Kingston, Xavier jumped in to take the blow.
But Sheamus and Cesaro's effort didn't stop there. Cesaro delivered a final blow to Kingston, and Sheamus made the three-count.
At the end of the match, with sadness on their faces, New Day handed over the belts to the new champions. Cesaro even embraced the former champions in a hug.
