On May 6th, WWE released a total of 8 wrestlers from its roster, a measure that usually takes place after WrestleMania.
As it is known, TNA has been the wrestling company that has welcomed the most wrestlers from WWE into its ranks. Renjith Ravindran interviewed TNA President, Dixie Carter for The Fan Garage during Carter's recent trip to India. This is a highlighted part of what she said:
The signing of recently released WWE stars:
"Many believe that our current roster and its wrestling style is the best. We are always looking for new talent. In recent years we have focused on the growth of our own talent. A lot of new talents like ECIII, Rockstar Spud, Eli Drake, and Bram, there are so many, and I could go on."
"But I think we also did a fantastic job with people like Drew Galloway, who was in WWE. He came and completely relaunched himself. Definitely, there are some incredibly talented wrestlers in the market right now and some will be available at some point this year. And we see ourselves talking to them. I think it would be interesting to bring a few to TNA."
TNA's financial situation:
"You cannot react to rumors about the financial situation. That is the difficulty of being in my position. There is so much incorrect information about TNA's financial situation. We are putting out some of the best television our company has ever had and you can say that big things are happening in our company. We just announced some partnerships in the Middle East, we just announced Vietnam and we're making a lot of similar announcements."
