Luego de que Ryback revealed the reasons why, according to him, he was sent home indefinitely by Vince McMahon, a new and interesting information related to the conflict between the wrestler and the company could even reach the courts.
This was revealed a few moments ago, the former Editor of TMZ.com, Ryan Satin, on his official wrestling news website called ProWrestlingSheet.com:
"Pro Wrestling Sheet has been able to learn that Ryback is currently involved in a battle against WWE for the copyright of the nickname 'The Big Guy'... and the problem has only been escalating in less than 24 hours, after he was sent home from WWE Monday Night Raw Backstage.
According to the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office), Ryan Reeves, also known as Ryback, filed a copyright registration for the 'The Big Guy' trademark in October 2015 for 'the rendering of entertainment exhibitions in the nature of professional wrestling performances and artist'. However, WWE filed a registration application for exactly the same trademark just three months after Ryback's action.
WWE made a request for opposition to the copyright registration filed by Ryback this morning - which means that both parties will have a 30-day period to present their arguments or withdraw the registration - but this (the opposition request) does not seem to mean that Reeves is going to step back."
This is a curious case that had never been presented with an active wrestler within the company and as has been speculated, Ryback may not return to WWE.
