The Big Guy, Ryback, has been in the spotlight for the past few hours after, following a discussion with Vince McMahon about his new contract, the latter made the decision...

The Big Guy, Ryback has been in the spotlight for the past few hours after, after arguing with Vince McMahon about his new contract, the latter has decided to send him home to rest until they agree on the terms of the contract.

The reasons that have been commented on have to do with the privileges that only a few gladiators have within Vince McMahon's company. And which the gladiator himself denies (partially) in a lengthy blog posted today on his social networks, which can be read in full here.

Ryback highlights in his statement a certain resentment towards the way of working not only in WWE, but in wrestling in general:

"This has been happening (the back and forth to renew the contract) since I had the intercontinental title... (yesterday) I was told that I could go home until we agreed on specific terms and contrary to the reports, this is not about money or a bus, that was resolved a while ago... It all comes down to a major issue I have with WWE, but not only with them, but with wrestling in general."

The gladiator argues that the difference in wages between the privileged class of wrestling and the rest of the wrestlers is huge, and that both star wrestlers and lesser-known ones should earn the same, because: "Every WWE wrestler sacrifices the same amount of time away from home and away from their families, and every man or woman goes out and does what they know how to do", in another part the Big Guy inquires about the same topic: "Every person who works for WWE from top to bottom is absolutely as valuable as the others."

He also states:

"Obviously, things have always been this way, but does it make sense? Times have changed and our goal as human beings should be to evolve and learn from our past and the past of others, and try to make this world a better place."

Ryback concludes with a statement that can be interpreted in various ways understanding the power of WWE, and what the future holds for him:

"WWE may well run me, so be it. If we can resolve things, much has to change, as I don't live in fear and my creativity can't continue to live in a life that limits me so much. I have many other interests and passions and I have been very smart with my finances in recent years. I appreciate every star of WWE from top to bottom for their sacrifices and for working with me. The world is an amazing place and beyond a 'WWE universe' there is the 'Universe' and I will prove one way or another, with time, that I am the biggest Big Guy in the universe!"
