WWE in search of the best female wrestlers on the planet

As commented here on SUPER FIGHTS, WWE will launch the program called Global Cruiserweight Series next July, which will involve the best 32 cruiserweight wrestlers (less than 100 kilos) in the world and will be broadcast on WWE Network.

The leading entertainment organization is working on putting together another series for WWE Network, which will be similar in some way to the Global Cruiserweight series, but now the company is looking for independent female wrestlers from around the world for a show that could start before the end of this year.

According to Richard Gray of Wrestling News World, with WWE's new initiative to abandon the term "Divas" and focus on women as athletes.

Gray tells us who came up with this idea:

"Stephanie McMahon came up with the idea of a show, in which the best undiscovered female wrestlers in the world would be sought after, the feeling is that it will be the opposite of the WWE Diva Search reality show and it will show how much the company's focus has changed with regard to the treatment and representation of female talent".
