WWE Payback 2016: Injury Stops Match
The fight at WWE Payback 2016, in which the team composed of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady faced The Vaudevillains for the Finals of the Tag Team Tournament to determine a title challenger for The New Day, had an ending close to tragedy.
The fight ended without a winner after Enzo Amore suffered a serious injury that forced the Payback 2016 event to pause for a few minutes.
Amore was thrown out of the ring by one of the Vaudevillains and he hit his neck on the second rope while attempting a classic maneuver. That was the moment when everything stopped at WWE Payback 2016.
Enzo Amore had to be taken out of the ring by paramedics, while his match at WWE Payback 2016 ended without a winner, as it was stopped by the referee.
Thankfully, WWE's Twitter account provided updates on Amore's injury, stating that he was taken to a local medical facility, where he is able to communicate with the medical staff and move his extremities. Hours later, it was reported that Enzo Amore was in good health and had been discharged from the hospital.
