The Granada hopes that the presentation of Sandoval will encourage the fans. After a summer filled with uncertainty, with more doubts than signings, with more silence than explanations about the future of the club, season ticket holders have chosen to wait. The result has been that at this point in the season ticket renewal campaign, the number of fans who have already visited the club's offices is barely approaching 3,500, a much lower number than last season. Sandoval's appointment as head coach did lift the spirits of the fans towards the end of last week, but the numbers are far below what was expected with only seven days left in the first phase of the campaign.
The club expects to announce its first signings later this week, hoping that they will serve as a stimulus for all those fans who need a push to say yes to Granada for another season. Although the number of club members is not the most important item in the budget, it is clear that it reflects the impact on the city and President Pina has always attached great importance to this social support. In fact, it has been the president himself who has tried to open up the club to season ticket holders, offering them the opportunity to become shareholders.
The target seems distant
After the decrease last year, when the figure of 14,000 was barely reached, Granada has set itself the goal of improving that number by two thousand and surpassing 16,000, a figure that is still quite far from the current numbers. Despite the slow pace, the club is confident that season ticket holders will wake up during this final week of renewals and that the rest of the fans will step up from July 10th onwards.
