Humberto "Chiquita" González was very successful in his boxing career. Now he plans to replicate that success in his new venture as a promoter.

The first event he will organize will be in Neza city, where he plans to reactivate boxing in the area, return once a month and also bring back the old glories of the world championships.

"I am happy to promote boxing, it is a national championship fight that is valid; being champion of the republic is not easy, you have to promote, support, there are many young people in Neza, people will come. It is a good function, there will be a good attendance (...) Now they do not pay much attention to the nationals, in my times being national champion was a stepping stone to the world title, you were already qualified; I know that now they do not pay much attention to them, but they have a lot of validity because I went through that," he recalled.

The fact that González devotes efforts to produce new champions, new talents, will support boxing in the region, but mainly the youth in that sector of the State of Mexico who will be able to find those spotlights, that stage where they can start forging their destiny with their fists

The best light flyweight in history, Humberto González, makes his debut as a promoter next Friday at the Salón Marbet, where "Chiquita" presents the first boxing event.

The idea of the great champion is to hold monthly events that serve as a platform for new talents, promoting the sport and national championships.

A card that will have six undercard fights and as the main event the performance of the national strawweight champion Monse "Raya" Alarcón who faces Ana Christina Vargas from Querétaro in a fight that promises to be full of action.

The champion's pupil commented that having the guidance of a legend of the ring is a great motivation and she assures that on Friday night she will give one of the best shows of her career.
