The UFC's Low Offer:

Former UFC middleweight title contender Paulo Costa believes the reason why the UFC doesn't want to negotiate with him is terrible.

During a recent interview on The MMA Hour, Costa shared his opinion on why the UFC doesn't want to renegotiate his contract.

"I think they offer a very low amount for Brazilians," said Costa. "I don't know. Maybe it's because they think we live in the jungle, that we don't need real money because the currency is five times lower than the dollar... But this is terrible for business. I don't care who I fight against, but if it's for little money, I will take advantage of it."

Costa is not the only Brazilian fighter to criticize the UFC's salary structure. Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva admitted that the UFC could do more to better compensate its fighters, although it depends on them to negotiate.

Costa has hinted that he could switch to boxing if the UFC and he fail to reach an agreement. He has also called out Jake Paul for a fight. Fighter remuneration has been a hot topic in the UFC, especially in the past year.

The UFC is still working on a deal with Francis Ngannou almost a full year after his last fight. Costa wants Brazilian fighters to receive fair pay for their efforts in the octagon. Although the UFC may reach an agreement with him, Costa is willing to stand up for his ideals and his people.
