Shawn Michaels reveals who would have won in a match against Eddie Guerrero.

In a press conference accessed by Trome, Shawn Michaels talked about the upcoming NXT event, called Halloween Havoc, a show that became famous in the late 90s thanks to the match between Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero in WCW. This led to a question that many fans have asked for years, "Who would have won in a match between Michaels and Guerrero?"

As you may remember, Eddie Guerrero passed away in 2005 and both wrestlers were never able to face each other in a one-on-one match. Shawn Michaels responded, appreciating the importance of what 'Latino Heat' meant for professional wrestling.

"It's a shame it never happened. I know there was talk in the offices about the possibility at some point, but it never materialized," said the popular 'HBK'.

One of the biggest rumors of 2005 was that days before Guerrero's death, WWE creative had decided to give him the world championship due to the injury of then-champion Batista. It is said that the plans were to have Eddie Guerrero and Shawn Michaels face off at WrestleMania 22 (2006).

Shawn Michaels confessed that either of them could have won that match. "The match would have taken place at a time when neither of us needed to elevate the other, meaning we were both already established and capable of winning or losing without affecting anything. In that sense, it would have been an honor for me to 'do the honors' for Eddie," he said.
