How to play with Matt in Nintendo Switch Sports

To face Matt and other past Miis, who now have the title of "Legend", you just have to follow these steps:

1. Choose the sport of your preference. Matt will appear in the sword fighting (Chambara) match.
2. Go to the combat settings.
3. When selecting the computer opponent's strength, move the cursor over "Ok".
4. On top of "Ok", hold down the ZR + R + A combination, or ZL + L + > . A special sound will indicate that you have successfully summoned the legendary Mii.
5. The combat will begin against the special Mii for each sport. The difficulty is the highest there is, regardless of the selected strength level at the beginning.

Who is Matt from Wii Sports

Matt was known among players of Wii Sports (2006) for being the final boxing opponent. The Mii wore silver gloves that you could claim if you defeated him. Years later, Matt returned in Wii Sports Resort (2009) as the champion of sword combat and was the final opponent in the tournament. Additionally, he was the judge in the sword cutting competition.

The character became a popular meme among internet users, who started exaggerating his power as a joke and calling him "the strongest" above other fictional characters like Thanos or Darth Vader.
