A fish has gotten its owner, a Japanese youtuber, in trouble while playing Pokémon as it was able to make purchases on Nintendo's eShop through the interface designed specifically for it, even displaying bank card information.
Youtuber Mutekimaru designed a user interface for his fish so that it could play Pokémon Purple on the Nintendo Switch from its fish tank while moving through the water, thanks to various sensors.

Although it is not the first time he has made his fish play, this time during a livestream, the interface failed and exited the game to load the Switch's home page. From there, the fish ended up in the Nintendo store where it acquired points.
During the livestream, the fish showed Mutekimaru's bank card, but that wasn't all it did. It also downloaded the application that allows playing Nintendo 64 titles, bought a new avatar, changed the username, and requested a PayPal confirmation email.
According to UPI, the youtuber contacted Nintendo to try to recover the money spent by his fish.
