Triple H, the new creative director of WWE, has delivered a huge SummerSlam 2022 with a ending that will be remembered for years by wrestling fans.
In the main event, Roman Reigns 'buried' Brock Lesnar in a match that left everyone speechless: the challenger brought a tractor with which he lifted the ring to hit his opponent.
Amid the astonishment of the fans in Nashville, Tennessee, Theory tried to take advantage of the chaos to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, but he was stopped by Lesnar. Reigns, along with The Usos and Paul Heyman (who received an F-5 from Lesnar), ended up attacking "The Beast Incarnate" and buried Lesnar despite his multiple attempts to get up.
The show also featured the surprising return of Bayley after the good opening match between Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch for the women's championship. Along with Dakota Kai and Io Shirai (who changed her name to Iyo Sky), they will form a faction to go against Belair, who retained her women's title in front of her hometown crowd.
Another surprising moment was the return of Edge to WWE to help Dominik and Rey Mysterio against The Jugdment Day, a faction he created before being betrayed.
The controversial moment came with Liv Morgan, who ended up tapping out to Ronda Rousey, but it went unseen by the referee. What he did see is that the challenger had her shoulders flat on the mat, so he counted to 3, giving the victory to the still champion.
Additionally, Seth Rollins made his appearance at SummerSlam to respond to Riddle, who demanded that he come out to the stage to fight. Although officials tried to stop him, the former hit the latter in the head, causing panic among the medical staff at the venue.
