WrestleMania 32 is starting to take shape. With the main event between Triple H vs. Roman Reigns (which was predicted even before Reigns won the title last year), the semi-main event will be Undertaker vs. John Cena or Sting, in addition to the one-on-one between Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose.
When WWE decided to go with the Lesnar-Ambrose match is when Kevin Owens won back the title, because the plan since January has been for AJ Styles to wrestle for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. Until early February, Ambrose vs. Styles and Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt were expected, but plans changed, and with their defeat at Fastlane, the Wyatt's returned to creative limbo.
With Owens as the Intercontinental Champion, the obvious direction is a title match with Styles at WrestleMania, and Owens is already teasing that rivalry on his Twitter account:
"Hey dweebs…If AJ Styles ever comes anywhere near MY #ICTitle, I'll take him out in less time than it took me to toss him out of the Rumble.😊"— Kevin Owens (@FightOwensFight) February 22, 2016
"Hey, nerds… If AJ Styles ever comes anywhere near MY Intercontinental title, I'll take him out in less time than it took me to toss him out of the Rumble."
With these matches, Owens vs. Styles and Lesnar vs. Ambrose are surely competing for the honors of the best match of the night.
On the Divas side, it appears that Charlotte will defend her title against Beck Lynch and Sasha Banks, and we shouldn't rule out Bayley showing up to challenge the winner.
