The fight began with a strong dominance by Kevin Owens, but Ziggler took advantage of all his resources to try to stand up to the champion. Somehow the audience did not respond as expected, chanting the name of their local hero, and Owens mocked throughout.

Dolph Ziggler perished when in the final moments of the match he tried to do a bad imitation of Shawn Michaels, but Owens brought him back to reality with his powerful Pop Up Powerbomb.
