More than five years have passed since the wrestler Yoshihiro Takayama has been lying paralyzed due to a tremendous spinal cord injury at the height of the cervical spine that paralyzed the area from the neck down. The injury was complicated by a pre-existing condition, degenerative cervical spondylosis.

Despite the fact that the also known as the "Emperor of professional wrestling" has worked hard in rehabilitation therapies, his progress has been very slow, but that does not discourage him.

In fact, he continues to be active on his blog and this allowed him to remember through a brief note that on June 28th, he celebrated his 30th anniversary since his professional debut.

This happened on June 28th, 1992 at Hakata Starlane in a match where he lost to Hiromitsu Kanehara, in a function of the Union Of Professional Wrestling Force International (UWF-I) company.

I debuted 30 years ago, Hiromutsu Kanehara was my opponent and I stepped into the ring for the first time in UWF International, in the now disappeared Hakata Starlane.

Many of the people who debuted at that time have already retired. Kazushi Sakuraba is one of the few who continues, although he debuted a year after me.

After my debut match, I had to see my trainer Nobuhiko Takada, but Kanahara didn't tell me. When I finally saw him, I was sweating cold, but he simply told me: "It was a good match".

Now I consider myself an old man, but back then I looked like a young man with a very calm temperament. Later, Giant Baba read an article that talked about my debut, and he said, "I wish I had a son like that". I heard it from people, I don't know how true or false it is. But in a few years, he called me, taught me many things and because of him, I became the Emperor of Professional Wrestling.

To finish his note, Yoshihiro Takayama thanked the public for the purchase of the commemorative t-shirt that was released for the 20th anniversary of his fight against Don Frye.
