In the preview of WWE Backlash, Roman Reigns surprised more than one fan by insinuating his retirement from the wrestling company in a non-televised show. The current Universal and WWE champion became a trend on social media for his words.
After the so-called WWE live show in New Jersey, the 'Tribal Chief' took the microphone and addressed the audience after defeating Drew McIntyre in an exciting match.
"I've been here a couple of times in the past 10 years. I'm starting to work on a new phase of my career and, honestly, I don't know if I'll be back here. If that's the case, I just want to thank you for all these years of support," said Roman Reigns.

It is worth mentioning that it is not the first time that Reigns has spoken about the possibility of retiring from WWE, as he previously told Michel Kay that the industry is for the young.
"I like to think that along the way, I have acquired many skills and experienced many different things that are going to help me because, in the end, we all know how this works. This is a young man's game," he pointed out.
"At the end of the day, it's about getting in the game, being thrown into the fire, and seeing how you do. I have a pretty good track record when it comes to being thrown into the deep end, and if that's what happens in Hollywood, I want to try it," he added.
