Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, WWE has carried out a immense amount of layoffs despite not having any financial losses, according to the latest published reports. The company has earned the repudiation of several wrestling professionals for its actions, but this Thursday it did it again.
At the early hours of the night, American media and journalists reported a series of layoffs in Vince McMahon's company. However, it was the names that surprised the most because many of them still had contracts, including some who have been here for less than a year and others who are well-known in the industry.
Karrion Kross, for example, signed with WWE from MLW and Impact Wrestling; he first was in NXT, where he was the absolute champion and then was promoted to the main roster. Everything seemed to indicate that he had a promising future in the ring, but it was the opposite; he was fired along with his partner Scarlett Bordeaux.

Keith Lee is another star who made a name for himself in WWE. He conquered in NXT with a superiority rarely seen and was the first double champion - North American and World titles at the same time - of the yellow brand. His ascension to RAW, face-off with Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns, and support from the fans made it seem like he could be a champion soon, but they removed him, just like his girlfriend Mia Yim.
Nia Jax arrived in WWE in 2016 and after her time in NXT, she debuted on SmackDown a little over a year later. The Samoan quickly became one of the favorites of the public and won the RAW women's title once in 2018. She was also a two-time champion in pairs with Shayna Baszler this year. But the company has decided not to continue using her services.
Ember Moon is a wrestler trained in WWE since 2015 and also had a brilliant career in NXT. Her debut on RAW three years later was acclaimed by the fans and it seemed like she could also compete for the main championship, but her injury caused her to fall behind, so she returned to the yellow show until today when she was fired.
