SmackDown Presents Special Live Edition from Des Moines, Iowa Tonight
SmackDown will present a special live edition tonight from Des Moines, Iowa. For one of the last editions of the year of the blue show, two title matches have been announced where the Intercontinental Championship and the WWE Tag Team Championship will be on the line.
First, we will have The New Day putting their title on the line against the masked The Lucha Dragons, Sin Cara and Kalisto. The latter was chosen by the audience as the winner of a Slammy Award after his impressive Salida del Sol at WWE TLC, so they will surely be the ones who have the support of the audience against the hated but incredibly popular The New Day.
In addition, the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line when Dean Ambrose has his first title defense against former champion Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler. Just a few hours ago, Ambrose had a tough match against Sheamus inside the steel cage, which cost him a few staples in his head. Meanwhile, Owens is driven by frustration, not only from losing the title, but also from not winning any Slammy. Ziggler seems to be the least likely to win, but let's not forget that he has already held that championship on four different occasions.
