WWE has found in the coronavirus a threat but also an opportunity. Despite being responsible for a massive layoff of workers, the pandemic is also forcing the company to innovate in its fights now that they cannot be held with an audience.
For the same reason, in the new edition of SmackDown this Friday, the company has announced that the ladder matches for the Money in the Bank 2020 briefcase will take place at their central building in Stamford, Connecticut.
Money in the Bank (MITB) is a stipulation where wrestlers fight with ladders to reach a briefcase that grants them the opportunity for a title shot in the company, wherever and whenever they want.
In this 2020 edition, both male and female matches will use all the floors of WWE headquarters until they reach the rooftop, where a huge ladder will take them to the briefcases.
MITB 2020 will take place on May 10 and will be broadcast live on Fox Action and WWE Network. Additionally, the title match between universal champion Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt has also been confirmed, without his character The Fiend.
