Luis Suarez willing to play Copa America final, says Tabarez
After being suspended in the draw against Paraguay, Diego Godín is ready to return. The captain of Uruguay will almost certainly be the big news for Wednesday's match against Chile. The center-back anticipates a difficult match, but transfers the pressure to the other side.
"Beyond that there are no favorites, because in a final it is always 50% and 50% beforehand, Chile is really the one with the responsibility and pressure as the host nation," said the Atletico Madrid defender on Monday.
However, Godín speaks respectfully of the team led by Jorge Sampaoli. The reasons are evident, "the great collective they have and their style of play, with many virtues as a team", in addition to having players like "Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez".
The question then becomes how to stop them. "When facing great individuals, you have to prioritize the defensive functioning of the whole team," says Godín, confident in maintaining Uruguay's 'bête noire' label against the hosts of the Copa America.
