Although many already had him labeled as a contender for Jon Jones' title, Johnny Walker couldn't translate his good moment in UFC 244. The Brazilian fell to American Corey Anderson by technical knockout.
Anderson came out aggressive from the start and took advantage of his opponent lowering his guard for a moment to connect the most punches to the face. Seeing that Walker was hurt, 'Overtime' didn't stop and continued with the punches.
Although Walker tried to defend himself, he couldn't maintain stability and succumbed to an Anderson right hand. After that, the referee stopped the fight due to the accumulation of strikes and the Brazilian's lack of reaction.
"As I told you, people have a short memory in MMA, I had already knocked someone out with my right hand and sometimes they forget that," said Corey Anderson, who now has a four-fight winning streak in the light heavyweight division.
