It took nine years for Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez to face each other in a match. However, it was not in the UFC octagon, where the rivalry began, but in the WWE ring at Crown Jewel 2019.
In his debut as a WWE wrestler, Cain Velasquez could not dominate Lesnar again. The Mexican-American fell in 88 seconds to the WWE champion, who made him submit with a 'kimura' (a key used in mixed martial arts).
After being in a better position on the ground, Cain Velasquez let his guard down and Lesnar grabbed his arm to apply his 'kimura'. Despite his opponent tapping out, the 'Beast' did not release the hold and continued with the submission.
This prompted Rey Mysterio, who accompanied Velasquez, to enter the ring and hit Lesnar with a chair. In the end, the 'Beast Incarnate' managed to leave the ring and leave Cain injured.
